Personal Profile

This series of messages led to Easter Sunday and focused on various characters of the Passion Story.  Mel Gibson's movie The Passion of the Christ certainly stirred a great deal of interest in the final hours of Jesus and focused on the word "passion".  Many people have asked what does the word "passion" mean in terms of the suffering of Jesus?  Interestingly, the word "passion" comes from a word that means "to suffer".  The love of Jesus is so overwhelmingly powerful for us that he was willing to suffer for us.  To be passionate about someone means a willingness to suffer on their behalf.
