Watch this page for information about Unfinished, One Sent, and solo acoustic performances. Unfinished - My bandmates are my friends and together we have a great time combining music and ministry. I am grateful to be a part of Unfinished with these great friends - Tommie on drums and percussion, Chris on bass and vocals, Anthony on acoustic/electric guitar/vocals, Lisa West on vocals/percussion, Dewayne on vocals/electric/acoustic guitar, and Ryan on drums (I play electric guitar). Unfinished is a band that specializes in Contemporary Christian Rock and Praise and Worship. We play at churches for events such as revivals, youth events, and special activities; community events; or anywhere else we have an opportunity to perform. We play Praise and Worship songs such as Amazing Love, Blessed Be the Name, The Heart of Worship, Open the Eyes of My Heart and music by artists as diverse as Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, Jars of Clay, Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Carrie Underwood, Newsboys, Jeremy Camp, Larry Norman, Kutless, and others. We are happy to perform for any size crowd, at any size event, and whether it is paid or unpaid. Below are some pictures both new and old.
An old picture of the band - we've had some lineup changes since this was taken.
The two pictures above were taken at the Henry County Harvest Showcase in July of 2008 - it was about 110 degrees under that tent!
From the Three Day Harvest festival in Pekin, Indiana in August, 2008 - another hot stage but a lot of fun - we were missing part of the band that evening. With a line up of seven people sometimes it's hard to get everybody together.
Ryan rockin' the drums Chris is the Mann on bass The old man of the band Anthony may have a questionable Dewayne is a great frontman sense of fashion, but he's a great guy.
We got to open for Sanctus Real and The Afters at the Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana. We were, actually, one of 17 opening bands. I play only acoustic guitar with no vocals for these type of events. The songs are a mixture of standards (Over the Rainbow), originals (mostly in a smooth jazz style), gospel (Amazing Grace, The Lord's Prayer), pop (James Taylor, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Beatles), and more. If you have an event where you would like acoustic music with a vocalist that can be arranged as well. One Sent Performances - One Sent is similar to Unfinished, but is a four piece band featuring bass/vocals, acoustic/electric guitar/vocal, drums/vocal, and electric guitar. As we have opportunity, Chris Mann - the bassist for Unfinished - and I play in One Sent with Ryan and Dewayne. The song list for One Sent is very similar to Unfinished. Watch this space for news of several upcoming CD releases. I have posted a few rough mixes in mp3 format if you would like to download them. Please keep in mind these are just rough mixes and have not been mastered. In some places you can hear pick noise on the guitar strings and some wrong notes but these will give you an idea of what will be on my CDs if I ever get them finished. You are more than welcome to download and enjoy the songs but please remember to respect my ownership of these arrangements by not altering them or using them for anything beyond personal enjoyment without permission. This song is a basic, fast blues instrumental. Recorded on my Telecaster one night when I felt like rockin' out. It's called Who's Blues and will be on my rock CD. To download, click on the link below. This song is from a CD of hymns that will feature a wide variety of arrangements. This one is How Great Thou Art, but in a very different format. You won't recognize the hymn for the first few bars, but when the acoustic guitar picks up the melody I hope you will recognize it. For anyone interested, there are four keyboard tracks, three acoustic guitar tracks (all on my Takamine), six electric guitar tracks (all done on my Paul Reed Smith CE24), one bass guitar track and two drum tracks. To download, click on the link below. This song - Holy, Holy, Holy - will also be on the hymns CD but is much different from How Great Thou Art. This is a solo piano arranged in a more traditional style. Actually, it was recorded on a Yamaha S80 keyboard but will be re-recorded on a Yamaha grand. Keyboards are fine, but they still don't sound like a really nice piano. This was recorded on stereo tracks and doubled on another set of stereo tracks. To download, click on the link below. This song - Psalm 46 - will also be on the hymns CD. This is an original titled after one of my favorite psalms (God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble...). It was painstakingly pieced together of small loops on ACID PRO software. To download, click on the link below. This song - called Paraguay and to be included on my rock CD - is a bad imitation of Santana. I was going for the style of Santana's Samba Pa Ti but fell way short. This is a rough demo done one day when we were totally snowed in. Recorded using a Parker guitar that I no longer have, but it was a great guitar. To download, click on the link below. This song is just a gentle acoustic song. I'm working on a full arrangement of this song but this is a version just for relaxing. Recorded on my Takamine in the front foyer of our church (for a great natural reverb) it's named after a hill at the end of the road where I grew up. There were many summers days when I rode my bike down the hill and had a long, slow walk pushing it back up the hill for the ride home. Those long, lazy days of summer were more precious than I could ever have imagined at the time. Equipment I like to know what gear other musicians use. If you're interested in my set up you can click on the following links for more information. Nobody endorses me, but there are some companies I endorse since I use their equipment, and I hope they don't mind me adding them to my web site. I endorse the following companies - Lucas, as well as Chris Rose, Tom James, and all the other great staff at Eminence Speaker. For More Information Contact: |
